Exercise

I received a pedometer for my birthday, so I have been tracking my steps. It has really encouraged me to keep moving. I even feel glad to make more trips--for instance, when I'm putting up laundry, I can walk into each room a few times instead of doing putting everything away in one load.:) A new way of looking at things. I have driven people crazy trying to get in more steps. Something that has helped me with that is a Christmas gift I got--a mini stepper. Now I can work on my steps without going anywhere. I believe it has helped me to lose body fat. But since I have not really tried to cut back on my chocolate intake, my weight is up. Muscle weighs more than fat, huh? I don't like to use that excuse, but I think it may actually be true this time since I can feel my thighs burn as I use my stepper. I had a scare yesterday when my pedometer was in the washer (still attached to the pants I had been wearing), but Mike came to my rescue. He took it completely apart and let it dry out. Then he put it back together for me. That was an act of love, especially since my using it has driven him nuts. I will try to get most of my steps in while he is at work.:)

It's true, muscle does weight more than fat... and muscle burns more calories while you are at rest :) What a good hubby fixing your pedometer for you.

Yes, I'm so glad he was able to fix it. Left to me, it would've been a loss. I do like to rest, but I have to encourage my muscles first, huh?:)

You are always an inspiration. I have a nice pedometer that I bought before I was pregnant...and it's sitting on my bathroom counter. Maybe I'll get it out again.

I'm so glad that Mike was very sweet and fixed it for you. James has had to "air out" some electronics for me, too. Have a great day!
