This past weekend, my aunt came down to celebrate my grandma's and my mom's birthdays. My grandma turned 93 and my mom turned 30 years older than me. It was fun to be together. They also came over our house to hang out a bit so that my aunt could see the kids' finished rooms. That was nice. We also got to be in church together. That's always special.

As you can see, Clayton is playing the piano, but looking at the music as he plays. Makes a teacher proud. He loves playing the piano and now that he can climb up on the bench himself, I have to keep it pushed in unless piano students are here. Otherwise, he stands up to get the phone, pencils I keep in a cup for teaching, or anything else he thinks might be fun. I also have to put my piano stickers away after each lesson or I won't have any left that are in good condition for my students.
Speaking of piano lessons, God has just added to my number of students. I had 3 new students this week! Pretty much all word of mouth since I haven't advertised since I first started more than 5 years ago. It's pretty cool how God keeps me going. It works well since I just teach Mon, Tues, Wed afternoons. I'm almost to capacity. God is faithful.

It's about time Jenelle starts pulling her own weight around there ;) I think you should teach her how to cook next, then you can have home cooked meals... I don't see any problem with a three year old using a stove....she can use that stool that Clay moves around the house ;)
I may wait until next week to start Jenelle on cooking. She does like to help me bake--stir the banana bread batter. (Hey, that would be a good answer for scattegories).
Wow - Jenelle's hair is getting so long! :) It's neat that she is at the age to begin helping. Clay looks so cute at the piano. Daniel has a little piano (4 keys) that his Grandma gave him for Christmas...he laughs when I hit the keys, but he is more interested in eating it than playing it right now.
Daniel's just having some exposure to the piano keys. He wants to really know them. Clay still puts things in his mouth sometimes to check them out. He even put a small squeezy ball in his mouth and shook his head back and forth. It was funny.
