Monday

Well, Monday was different than we had expected it to be. We thoroughly enjoyed the 80% chance of rain we got. (Monday's and Tuesday's rain combined was about 1 3/4 inches). Mike and I watched "Mary Poppins" with the kids. It was the kids' first viewing of it. Fun and relaxing.

We wanted to get out a bit, so we went to the bike shop and the kids got to do some "road tests" around the shop. From there, we went to Jack in the Box and got some lunch (all this in the pouring, wonderful rain). We came home and I put the kids down for their naps. Mike went back to the bike shop with his bike for a repair and to buy some bike helmets for the kids.

Shortly after I was done with my nap, my sister called from LAX. She didn't have her passport! It was at my parents'. I called Mike at the bike shop, got Jenelle up from her nap and got a few things together. We took a family trip to get her passport and then on to LAX. (Mike and I had both been there once before--not together--and never desired to go again). Anyway, just in the nick of time, we got my sister her passport so she could check in for her flight to Zurich on her way to Israel. God gave us clear passage there and back. It was a bit rough with the kids being in the van for 3 1/2 hours, but they did pretty well. My sister said we did our heroic deed for the year. That's a relief to have that done!:)

That sounds a bit hectic, but I'm glad that you made it there in time! :)

Yes, it was. Easier with two kids than three, I guess.:)
