My mom called me on Monday morning before 7 to let me know that Grammy went to heaven early Monday morning. Grammy was 93 1/2. She had lived a good life. Grandpa went to heaven 8 1/2 years ago and they had been married for 58 years! My dad and I took the kids for a visit every other week and we had been to see her a week ago today. We're relieved that she is complete again. The last understandable thing she said was to my mom last Thursday. As my mom was leaving after feeding Grammy dinner, she said, "I love you." For the last 15 months, Grammy had lived near us so my mom got to see her often. That was neat. I am glad that my kids got to know Grammy. Grammy's living the good life!
These pictures are not in chronological order, but that's true to my form.:)
This was in January when my aunt Sandy came to visit for Grammy's 93rd and my mom's 64th.

This was last October on one of our visits to Grammy's.

This was last Thanksgiving when my uncle Darryl came to visit.

This was last January. Grammy was holding her birthday gift.

This was July 2007--kind of four generations if you can see Jenelle way in the background. I didn't know my mom was sneaking in this picture either.:)

I love this picture of Grammy's smile--obviously Clay was a little younger.:)

Heather,
Thank you so much for putting those pictures of Gram on your blog. You wrote wonderful stuff about her as well.
Love, Aunt Sandy
I'm glad you got to enjoy your grammy as she lived closer the last year and a half. I'm sorry she's gone, but glad that she gets to be with our Lord :)
Im so sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

I'm sorry for your loss but praise God that she gets to be in heaven with our Father! That is wonderful that the kids got to meet her and spend time with her. My prayers will be with you and your family.
Love,

I love the pictures of Grammy. It looks like she enjoyed her time in Southern Cal (where she wanted to be).

Heather, beautiful memories that you can look back on and remember your Gammy. God is holding her now and we are keeping your family in our prayers.
