This Weekend

On Saturday, Mike spent the day making a platform for our bed. We got a new (Sleep Number) mattress on Wednesday and the bed felt like we were camping out it was so low to the ground. He did a nice job and included in the platform, he made more storage for us. He's so thorough and thoughtful! It's nice to sleep on higher ground now.:)

Saturday evening, we had our family date at Sizzler. Jenelle got the salad bar (for the first time) and enjoyed watermelon, grapes, diced eggs, olives, grape tomatoes and, of course, an ice cream cone. The only meat she wanted was some of our steak.:) The kids did well and we even got a complement from a lady who had been watching us. She said, "Your kids have been very well behaved. Some people's kids are real brats." That was nice of her to take time to give us the complement.

Sunday evening, Jenelle started AWANA at our church. She is in Cubbies. We stayed with her through the beginning until she was settled. I told her after she learned some verses, she would get a vest like some of the other kids had on. She said, "I don't want to wear a vest." Mike told me, "I'm sorry. That's part of me in her." That's funny, because I would've been sad not to have one. We don't get to choose the attributes we pass on.:)

It was a good weekend.

Glad you had such a nice family date and the kids were so well behaved :) Hopefully baby #3 will be just as good :) I did AWANA when I was a kid, it was fun. Our church now doesn't have it.

Hey, what model of the sleep number did you get? We have one too and loved it at first but wish we would have spent the money to get a 7000 or 9000 series. It feels like a glorified air mattress...we put a memory foam mattress topper on and it has helped.
